Individual consultation
For the person whose plan isn't working.
Somewhere there's a person whose day program keeps calling about “behaviors.” Whose support plan says one thing while their actual life looks like something else. Whose team has started locking the fridge or writing up a one-to-one plan, but isn't sure whether that's a justified rights modification or rights violation, and what to do about it. That's who I show up for. I read the person-centered service plan, I spend real time with the person and the people around them, and I help the team build support that balances what's important to the person with what's important for them, holds up under the rules, and still works after I leave.
What's included
Plan and file review
I read the person-centered service plan and the record; I help you see where the plan is solid, what's missing, and why it matters.
Time with the person
I spend time with the person and the people who know them best. The plan that works is the one built on what actually matters to them.
Rights and dignity of risk
John O'Brien once said “we cannot abandon people to choice.” Supporting rights and dignity of risk does not mean supporting danger with reckless abandon. My job is to help people have the life they want while helping teams who support them understand their roles and responsibilities around supporting risk, and addressing rights modifications in partnership with the person.
Let's start with a conversation.
It starts with a short conversation about what you're facing. No fee, no pressure, and no package to buy. We'll figure out together whether I'm the right fit.
